In a shocker, the Giants are trading tight end Darren Waller and a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick, according to numerous reports.
Waller will come out of retirement to sign a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with Miami.

The 32-year-old spent just one season with Big Blue after being acquired in an offseason deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Waller was expected to bring a much-needed downfield weapon to the mix for Daniel Jones, but ended up being limited to just 12 games due to a lingering hamstring injury and was relatively unproductive when healthy.
Waller finished the season hauling in 52 of his 74 targets for 552 yards and just one touchdown.
He recently admitted during a podcast appearance that he made the decision to retire during a Week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
"It was a controversial game because one of the guys held me at the end, and they didn’t call it," he said. "It was the first quarter, we were running this counter-run play, and I'm leading through the hole like I'm a fullback, and the play is working. Then I sit down on the sideline after a drive where we ran like three times, and I’m like, what the f--- am I doing with my life? I'm out here playing fullback. I don’t even want to do this s--- anymore.

"I’m just looking at the moon, it’s early first (or) second quarter, and nobody else would really even know I am thinking this, but I’m on the sideline like, 'Yep, I’m going to finish this year to the best of my ability but I am definitely done after this year.'"
Well, two years later it appears Waller is ready to give it another go -- he'll look to establish himself as a big-play threat in the high-powered Dolphins offense that just moved TE Jonnu Smith in a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
