Bayern Munich add Rashford to ‘longlist’ of targets

Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

Rashford is thought to be holding out for a “dream” transfer to Barcelona this summer, although it’s difficult to see that happening with Nico Williams lined up for a move.

Reporter Christian Falk says that Bayern are “genuinely interested” in Rashford and thinks he is on a “longlist” of potential targets.

Like Barcelona, the Bavarian giants are also keen on Nico Williams and Luis Diaz as they bid to bolster their attack this summer.

Manchester United are thought to want around £40 million for Rashford this summer but may be willing to let him leave on loan once again.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Aston Villa but the club decided against taking up the purchase option in his contract.

Rashford will now return to Manchester United but is not in Ruben Amorim’s plans for the future and is expected to move on again.
