Leeds United have announced the signing of Sebastiaan Bornauw from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
He joins the Yorkshire club in a deal worth £5.1 million.
The 26-year-old Belgian international began his professional career with Anderlecht in 2018. His impressive form in his debut season led to a move to FC Köln in 2019, where he became a regular starter. He went on to join Wolfsburg in 2021, making nearly 90 appearances for the club and scoring four goals.
He spoke to LUTV about the signing: “I’m really pleased to be here, it’s an amazing club.”
“The Premier League was always my dream, and then to play for such a big club in England and in Europe, it’s a dream come true.
“I think the Premier League, for me, is the biggest league in the world. Obviously, Germany is a really strong league too, but I think as football players, we aim for the highest, and I think the Premier League is the highest for me.”
The defender has signed a four-year deal.
