Arsenal have received a fresh warning in their chase for Mohammed Kudus, with Chelsea now showing interest in the West Ham forward.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have not ruled out a move for the Ghanaian international. This has now added pressure on Arsenal’s pursuit.

The Gunners have long admired Kudus and are actively seeking ways to improve their forward line ahead of the new season.

Kudus, who is also open to leaving West Ham this summer, could bring added energy and creativity to Mikel Arteta’s team.

The 23-year-old is not only effective in attack but can also slot into midfield roles, giving Arteta more flexibility with his tactics.

Reports suggest Arsenal had been weighing up an approach. However, Chelsea’s sudden interest has prompted the need for urgency.

The Blues are close to signing Brighton’s Joao Pedro and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Yet, they are still open to further signings.

Kudus attracting interest

As well as Arsenal and Chelsea, the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle United have also been linked with Kudus so a fierce battle could ensue.

Last season, Kudus scored five goals and provided four assists for West Ham across all competitions. That was a huge downgrade from the previous campaign that saw him provide 18 goals and 10 assists.

Despite having an £85million release clause for Premier League clubs, West Ham are willing to consider more reasonable offers, as per the report.

For clubs outside England, including Saudi sides, the buyout clause rises to £125million. But no club is expected to trigger that amount.

With so many clubs circling, the Gunners must now act fast if they want to avoid missing out on the highly rated attacker.

Kudus could be a key addition to Arteta’s squad as they prepare to fight for trophies next season. Arsenal’s next move could decide the outcome.
