As we now enter July during this incredibly important summer transfer window, there is hope we will finally see some movement in the market in regards to the club’s transfer business.

Whilst the big focus has been to offload players to help fund the window for Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay, much attention is also being made to bring in new faces, with desire to see younger exciting talent come to east London.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, club insider Ex has advised that Potter has identified the former Leeds player Cresswell as one of interest, following his excellent form for his club and the England U21’s.

“One player we have been very impressed with at the Euros for the England U21’s is Charlie Cresswell of Toulouse,” said the insider.

“Cresswell was at Leeds prior to his move to France and is someone who has done well at Toulouse.

“His performances on the U21 international stage are now making West Ham seriously interested, with a move for the player real possibility.

“Cresswell is also a homegrown player, which is also attractive to the club.”
