Liverpool insists that Luis Diaz is not for sale following contact from Bayern Munich, according toPaul Joyce.
The Bundesliga champions had initially made contact with the club, believing that the Colombian could be sold should an appropriate fee be offered.
The Bavarians are actively in the market for a winger this transfer window, following the sale ofLeroy Sané to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
However, Liverpool have been quick to reject Bayern’s approach for Diaz. Sporting Director Max Eberl has been informed that Diaz is not being considered for sale this summer. This was the same firm stance that Liverpool took when Barcelona made an approach for the winger last month.
Other Candidates?
As reported by GGN previously, Bayern are currently monitoring the situations of English duoMarcus Rashford andJack Grealish. Rashford had a £40m option-to-buy clause following his loan spell at Aston Villa, but that was turned down by the West Midlands side.
Originally on Bayern’s “longlist”, Rashford could now become a more realistic target.
Additionally, Grealish is after a move away from Man City this summer, and he is no longer in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
