Alan Myers shares double Everton transfer insight after what he's 'heard' from Finch Farm

Everton fans will now want to see the club push on in the summer transfer market and provide David Moyes with some new faces.

It has been a slow start to the summer for Everton, but there will be hope the turn of the month will kick the Blues into action.

July saw a new PSR window open in the Premier League, which Everton were believed to be waiting for.

But Moyes will soon be returning to Finch Farm where he will want to see new additions on Merseyside ahead of their pre-season efforts starting.

Everton are looking to address a number of positions following their squad being decimated by free agent departures.

And Alan Myers has now shared a double transfer update on what he has heard out of Finch Farm.

Everton not showing interest in Evan Ferguson

The name of Evan Ferguson will not go away, with the Toffees being linked with another move for the Brighton & Hove Albion striker.

Everton have shown interest in Ferguson previously and did miss out on the Ireland international in the January transfer window.

But, according to Myers, this is not a player the club will be looking to bring in.

Ferguson has struggled over recent years with injuries, which have cost him a lot of development in the Brighton first team.

Everton are closing in on signing Thierno Barry, but the striker has now jetted off on holiday before making his move to Merseyside.

The door could still be open to more additions, with Moyes keen to sign more than one striker this summer.

Everton also not eyeing Adam Webster

In what could prove a double swoop on Brighton, the Daily Mail has reported an interest from Everton in defender Adam Webster.

Everton are in talks with Michael Keane over potentially extending his stay on Merseyside.

But his departure would see Moyes in need of another addition to bolster the numbers.

Taking to social media, Myers admitted Webster was not a name he believes to be on the radar at Finch Farm.

‘Not one I’ve heard tbh,’ he replied to a fan on X.

The clock is now ticking on Angus Kinnear, who has an awful lot of work to do this summer.
