Derby County prospect on radar of Manchester United

Derby County youngster Charlie Hardy is wanted by Manchester United, according to The Peoples Person.

Derby County could face a battle to keep hold of the prospect this summer amid attention from Old Trafford. DCFC are preparing for another year in the Championship.

Hardy, 15, is highly-rated by the Rams. He is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

In this latest update regarding his situation at Pride Park, The Peoples Person claim he is on the radar of Manchester United. The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League last season under Ruben Amorim.

Derby County stayed up on the final day of the last campaign and speaking afterwards, Eustace said, as per BBC Sport: “The job’s done and that’s the most important thing. What a fantastic effort from everyone connected with the football club. The players have been outstanding every day in training they have dedicated themselves to getting to this moment and I couldn’t be any more proud of them.

Derby County should aim to do their best to retain the services of Hardy. It would be a blow for DCFC to lose him, especially at such a young age.

However, it could be hard to stand in the way of a dream move to Manchester United. They have an illustrious academy and he may fancy of chances of breaking into their first-team down the line in the top flight.

Hardy has risen up through the Rams’ academy and has featured for them at various different levels so far. The stopper, who is an England youth international, played four times for their Under-18’s last season in Premier League 2.

What now for Derby County?

Derby County have been shrewd with their recruitment recently. DCFC have recently brought in Danny Batth and Andi Weimann to add some experience into their squad.

They are two of Eustace’s trusted players from previous team Blackburn Rovers. The Rams have also swooped for centre-back Nat Phillips from Liverpool and striker Carlton Morris from Luton Town, as well as back-up goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell from Blackpool.

Time will tell whether the Rams will be able to retain the services of Hardy. Manchester United are being mentioned as a potential suitor and could launch an offer.
