Bayern Munich have initiated fresh talks with Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, sources have confirmed to TBR Football.
German champions Bayern are anxious to add another wide forward to Vincent Kompany’s squad this summer, and the club’s top target Florian Wirtz has already joined Liverpool.
As a result, Kompany’s side then turned their attention to Spanish star Nico Williams, who has since made it clear that he wants to join Barcelona.
TBR Football recently confirmed that Bayern were interested in Gabriel Martinelli at Arsenal as a result of their frustrations elsewhere.
And owing to the uncertainty over his future, Bayern are considering Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, a player who was important for Arne Slot during his first season at Anfield.
Gabriel Martinelli considering Arsenal exit after fresh Bayern talks
That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Bayern have had conversations with Luis Diaz’s camp this week, who confirmed he was looking to leave Liverpool.
Liverpool have backed away from contract talks with the Colombian recently and are open to the former FC Porto star leaving.
In terms of Gabriel Martinelli, the Brazilian is happy at Arsenal as things stand.
However, Martinelli’s people have just told Bayern that if Arsenal buy another left forward then he would consider his future.

Of course, Arsenal ‘dream’ of signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer and have every intention of recruiting on the left.
Martinelli was valued at £75m recently, and whilst the Brazilian made 51 appearances for Arsenal last season, that number might reduce significantly if someone like Rodrygo were signed.
Arsenal target Anthony Elanga is also on Bayern’s radar
In their search for a left winger, Arsenal are also considering Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest.
And we can confirm that Bayern have also now enquired about Elanga’s situation at the City Ground, who is quickly becoming one of the most talked about players in England.
Sharing further insight into Bayern’s hunt for a winger, Bailey said: “Sources close to Bayern have told me that there are a host of wide players the club like and even some we have no knowledge that they are looking at.
“To see them asking about Diaz and Martinelli is not a surprise, and even Elanga – Bayern have time to do their work and get the right player to add to their squad.”
Of course, it would cause shockwaves at Arsenal if Martinelli actually left the club, a player who has been so intrinsic to Arteta’s project in recent years.
Martinelli and left wing partner Leandro Trossard could still sign new deals this summer, but equally, Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for both given the expectation that the duo will see their playing time reduced.
