Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak reportedly wants to leave Newcastle United according to Sky Italia Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Gunners are set to sign a striker this summer, but it has not been identified as to which one they are going to target as of yet. Reports have said that they have held talks with Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, but disagree on personal terms.

Furthermore, Viktor Gyokeres remains a target, but the player and Sporting CP are in a disagreement over his transfer fee. Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt is also reportedly a target for the Gunners.
As these three have taken priority, many have forgotten about Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, who is also wanted by Liverpool. It had previously been said that Isak was Arsenal’s dream striker target, but it seemed that Newcastle wouldn’t sell the Swedish international.
Isak wants to leave Newcastle
However, Arsenal could re-ignite their interest in the 25-year-old as it has been revealed by Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio via TeamTalk, that Isak wants to leave St James Park and explore other options.
The reporter said: “For Isak, it depends on Newcastle, because the player talked to the coach and the club at the end of the season, because he would like to leave, but Newcastle are not open to that, at the moment.
“So it depends on Newcastle and Isak’s discussion, if the club will be open to having him on the market. Newcastle is a tough club and they want to keep their best players for next season, including Sandro Tonali. Alexander Isak would like to look at other options because at the end of this season, he had the promise from the club and the coach, but Newcastle haven’t acted seriously on that yet.”
If Newcastle do allow him to leave, Arsenal could consider making a bid ahead of Liverpool, who have already spent almost £170m on players so far this summer. TeamTalk write that the striker could be available for £120m if he fails to sign a new contract at Newcastle.
