EFL Analysis understands that newly promoted Burnley are keen to land the highly-rated duo, with several Premier League sides also interested.
Burnley won promotion from the Championship back to the Premier League last season after finishing runners-up behind Leeds United.
Following their top flight return, Burnley have already lost some crucial squad members, with CJ Egan-Riley joining Marseille, and the Clarets may continue to do so as Burnley could be forced to sell more key players this summer.
The Clarets have been searching for recruits in the EFL this summer, with Burnley targeting Teden Mengi of Luton Town after the Hatters’ relegation to League One.
Now, EFL Analysis can confirm that Burnley are keen to land a highly-rated Salford City duo, but face stern competition for the attackers.

Burnley are keen to sign highly-rated Salford City duo
Salford finished eighth in the fourth tier last season, just shy of the play-off positions by one point, and have solidified their presence in League Two after six consecutive seasons.
Salford are set for a £15m takeover in their bid to follow Wrexham, and in our early 2025/26 League Two predictions, EFL Analysis have tipped Salford to finish 15th next season.
However, Karl Robinson’s task could be made more difficult without a key duo during the coming campaign, with newly promoted Burnley keen to land a highly-rated Ammies pair.
Via our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands that Burnley are keen to land Salford City’s highly-rated teenage attacking duo Will Wright and Kyrell Malcolm.
The Clarets have already had a bid for 18-year-old Malcolm rejected but they remain keen on him whilst also looking at landing his 17-year-old team-mate Wright too.
Burnley though face a battle to land both players, however, with a host of rival clubs keen.
Malcolm is also on the radar of Everton and Blackburn Rovers.
17-year-old Wright, who made his debut against Manchester City in the FA Cup in January, also has several clubs interested in him, and City are one of those keen.
Along with Burnley and City – Liverpool, Arsenal and Brentford are also showing an interest.
Despite the inexperience of the duo, Salford boss Robinson has talked highly of their potential, particularly regarding forward Malcolm during his breakthrough.

Salford City boss Karl Robinson reveals thoughts on Kyrell Malcolm
Last season, at just 16, Malcolm became the youngest player to make a League Two debut for Salford, in a 1-1 draw against Colchester United.
After his 57 minutes on the pitch, Ammies boss Robinson praised his potential, but outlined where the youngster must improve.
Via Quays News, Robinson said: “I thought the youngster (Kyrell) did well for his age.
“When he closes his eyes tonight, I’m sure the one thing he’ll think about is that one that dropped to his right foot and went spiraling over that terracing,
“That’ll be his parting memory of the game unfortunately but that’s the ruthless edge of football, he’s got to find a calmness within him in those moments to take it.
“I’m proud of his efforts, I think he showed the pure, raw pace that he has. There’s a lot more to come from him, sometimes you expect a little bit too much of the youngsters.
“It’s about that protection now, him improving, working hard, dropping back down to the Under-23s, being the best player in the Under-18s and not dropping the standards he’s already set.
“He mustn’t think he’s made it because he’s far from made it, this is the first steps of his journey.”
Malcolm made six appearances for Salford this season and registered one assist, while Wright made four outings but failed to score or assist.
