Clip of Jaguars players working out offers head-turning Trevor Lawrence update

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is currently recovering from shoulder surgery, and the Jacksonville Jaguars will need him to be fully healthy if they want to make noise in 2025. Based on a recent clip, he should be 100 percent for the season opener.

Lawrence and several of his teammates took a trip to the Bahamas to train. Content creator Jack Gillen recorded the whole thing, and wide receiver Dyami Brown posted it on his YouTube Channel.

Throughout the video you can see several Jaguars players working on their timing and chemistry. Brown, Travis Hunter, and Brian Thomas Jr. are among those who stand out the most.

Gillen had previously shared a teaser, and Lawrence didn't pop up. However, he frequently appears on the full video, and one thing is abundantly clear.

In case you didn't notice, No. 16 isn't wearing a sleeve, which was the subject of controversy during Organized Team Activities and mandatory minicamp. A Twitter account wrongly stated at the time that he was wearing a sling, not a sleeve, and the spotlights suddenly turned to his recovery from a shoulder injury he suffered in 2024.

Lawrence was quick to shut down any potential concerns about his health, pointing out that the sleeve was just keeping him warm. Similarly, head coach Liam Coen didn't give it too much thought and simply stated that his quarterback's choice of gear was understandable because he had thrown a lot.

Ultimately, the whole issue turned out to be too much ado about nothing, but even if it were, the fact that Lawrence is no longer wearing the sleeve should alleviate any concerns.

Trevor Lawrence's health will be paramount to the Jaguars' success in 2025

Trevor Lawrence showed in 2022 that he can play at a high level. However, he was inconsistent the past two years. Granted, some of his issues stemmed from his lack of a decent supporting cast and the team's inadequate coaching. However, the former Clemson Tiger also failed to stay healthy in a sport where availability is the most important ability. Moreover, his fundamentals and decision-making suffered a dip last season.

Working in his favor is that Lawrence is now getting top-notch coaching from Liam Coen. Furthermore, the team's brass made upgrades to his supporting cast, so he doesn't have to be flawless to give the Jags a chance to win games. The next step will be to show that he can avoid the injury bug, something he's struggled to do. If he does, though, there's no reason to think that he can once again join the discussion about the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL.

In fact, a handful of analysts are still high on Lawrence and believe this is the year he finally puts it all together. The hype is understandable because of the overhaul Jacksonville underwent in the offseason, but it will all be moot if he can't stay healthy.

Fortunately, and based on the Bahamas video, it looks like he's taken massive steps in his recovery and is on track to be at full strength for the season opener.
