Arsenal icon has his eye on Gunners trio – Could face competition from Cesc Fabregas

Arsenal icon Patrick Vieira has a firm eye on Arsenal and potential moves for Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga this summer.

That’s according to La Repubblica, relayed by [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/vieira-pesca-nel-suo-passato-tre-giocatori-dell-arsenal-sono-finiti-nel-mirino-del-genoa-2120085), who report that Vieira has his eye on the Arsenal trio but could face competition from Cesc Fabregas at Como.

Vieira is currently manager of Genoa, and the newspaper explains that they’re focusing on deals from the Premier League this summer, as Vieira has a deep knowledge of English football after playing and managing there.

That’s seen him turn his attention to his former club and there are three names on his list, Nelson, Vieira and Lokonga. The belief is that all three could be signed on loan from Arsenal.

They all spent last season on various loans away from the Emirates and do not appear to be in Mikel Arteta’s plans moving forwards. Lokonga, in particular, is a name that is ‘very popular’ when it comes to strengthening the midfield.

There is no shortage of competition for the trio, though. That’s because another former Arsenal midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, is eyeing them for his own club Como. Thus, there could be a ‘challenge of charisma’ between the former Gunners, who may go head-to-head for all three and need to convince them that they are the better option.
