The future of Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has yet to be decided.
The winger has been a fan favourite at the Etihad Stadium since he made the £100m move to Manchester during the summer of 2021 from Aston Villa; however, the winger has failed to live up to that price tag.
Last season was the worst the 29-year-old has experienced at Man City as Grealish fell down the pecking order in Pep Guardiola’s squad, with the Englishman only starting one out of City’s last 21 Premier League matches.
His future was made clear when Guardiola left Grealish out of his Man City squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, but the former Aston Villa star is no closer to finding a new home ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Man City wanted Jack Grealish gone before pre-season
Grealish has already accepted that his Man City career is over, as the winger knows he needs to play regularly if he is to secure a place on the England plane to the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer.
Dean Jones has now provided an update on the future of the Man City star, with the journalist stating that the Manchester club are currently working on the 29-year-old’s exit as their original plan was to have the player gone before pre-season got underway.

“Manchester City have started working on options for Jack Grealish to leave the club this summer,” Jones said on the Transfer From Paradise podcast. “There is an openness to both loan and permanent solutions, but progress is slow, and no firm offers have been received so far.
“Grealish was left out of City’s Club World Cup squad and is eager to join a team competing in European football to rebuild his form and push back into the England squad ahead of the next World Cup.
“While Newcastle are often linked, no real talks have taken place. Napoli and AC Milan have shown interest but are also considering other attacking players. City had hoped to sort this before pre-season, but that is looking unlikely.”
Now that Man City’s campaign at the Club World Cup is over, that may help speed things up when it comes to the future of Grealish.
The best club for Jack Grealish to bounce back
Manchester City want at least £50m to part ways with Grealish this summer, who is also on £300,000-per-week at the Etihad Stadium, which no club is likely to match.
Therefore, a loan move is the most likely path the winger will take this summer, which could open up a transfer to Everton, who have been linked to the 29-year-old this summer.
Don Hutchison thinks Grealish would benefit from working with David Moyes, and with several other interested parties backing away from the Man City star, the Toffees now have a good chance at landing the former Villa star.

Jack Grealish’s career at Man City
Things have improved at Everton under Moyes, which could attract Grealish, while the Scottish coach would put an arm around the winger and let him be free on the pitch, which may lead to the Man City star enjoying his football again.
A lot can happen in the transfer market in the space of a few weeks; therefore, Grealish should not panic about his future yet, as other clubs may still join the race before the window shuts.
