Arsenal are closing in on an agreement to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to reports, but Fabrizio Romano has claimed in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter that there is nothing done or agreed between both clubs, but talks are ongoing.
The Gunners are showing an interest in bringing Sporting striker Gyokeres to the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window. Adding a centre-forward could be one of their priorities after falling short in the Premier League title race to Liverpool, struggling to score significantly last term.
Gyokeres has enjoyed an impressive stint in Portugal with Sporting, and it looks as though he could be on the move before the window closes. The Swedish international has flourished domestically and in the Champions League, and Arsenal are working on a deal to secure his signature over the coming months.

Reports from France emerged this week that Arsenal were close to reaching an agreement with Sporting striker Gyokeres over personal terms. It's claimed that Andrea Berta is pushing to bring the former Coventry City forward to the Emirates, and is looking to spend less than the £68m asking price.
The reports appear to be slightly premature according to Romano with a deal yet to be completed, but talks are ongoing as Arsenal aim to secure the signature of Gyokeres before the beginning of the 2025/2026 campaign.
