West Ham have endured a slow start to the transfer window, having only signed one player so far this summer.
Jean-Clair Tobido, who was on loan with The Hammers last season, has signed permanently, but that’s the only transfer news that fans have had to get excited about so far.
It will be hoped that Graham Potter and his recruitment team experience more success in July and August before the new Premier League season starts.

Now, ExWHUEmployee is reporting that Potter is ready to submit a £18million transfer bid to his club Toulouse.
This transfer would represent a meteoric rise in value for Cresswell, who Toulouse bought from Leeds for a measly £3.8 million last summer.
However, the 22-year-old has gone on to shine in Ligue 1, making 31 league appearances for Toulouse and contributing with three goals.

Potter looks to show Hammers fans his transfer expertise
Potter had this West Ham squad playing better almost immediately after replacing Julen Lopetegui as Hammers boss.
However, it’s still widely agreed that he’ll need a few new signings to get his team challenging for European football.
Potter has a reputation for finding hidden gems in the transfer market, and he’ll be hoping to do so during what is his first summer transfer market as West Ham manager.

A deal for Tobido has already been sealed after he impressed on loan last season, and Cresswell looks like he could be another important addition to the defence.
The £18m fee quoted seems a little steep, but if Potter is willing to pay it, then there’s every chance this young defender could turn out to be the real deal.
West Ham have also been linked with Independente defender Kevin Lomonaco, although they’ll face competition from Real Betis, Aston Villa and Bournemouth for the Argentinian.
