Key stats
A Liverpool academy player from the age of just five, the boy from the banks of the River Mersey signed pro-terms for the English and European powerhouses in 2021.
A loan spell at third-tier Bristol Rovers preceded a senior Liverpool debut under Jürgen Klopp against Newcastle United in the Premier League in August 2023. In 57 subsequent appearances for the Reds, Quansah went on to score three times and win Premier League and EFL Cup honours.

A UEFA European U19 Championship winner with England in 2022, the defender would subsequently appear at the FIFA U20 World Cup the following year while he was named in the provisional Three Lions' squad for UEFA Euro 2024. His crowning glory at international level so far, though, came at the 2025 U21 Euro, as he played every minute in England's title-winning campaign.
Plays a bit like: Nico Schlotterbeck
Much like Quansah, Borussia Dortmund's versatile defender is most comfortable in a central role but is also happy to play at full-back. In the case of Leverkusen's new signing, that happens to be on the right, where he often filled in with notable results for Liverpool. Both players represent a calm presence when bringing the ball out from the back and both boast optimal tackling stats.
