Haaland committed his future to Manchester City by signing a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Etihad until 2034.

His previous deal was due to expire in the summer of 2027 and it included a £173million release clause but that has now been removed.

“I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great Club,” he said.

“Manchester City is a special Club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.

“I also want to thank Pep, his coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at the Club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City no matter what.

“I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward.”

But a lot of key City players have now entered the final year of their contracts and face an uncertain future, including Ederson, Walker, Stones, Gundogan and Silva.

Ederson, Dias, Gonzalez, Nunes and Bernardo are all represented by Gestifute, which is owned by Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes.

CAA Stellar also have a lot of City clients, including McFarlane, Kabore, Ait-Nouri, Phillips, Bobb, Marmoush and Grealish.

Gundogan is represented by his uncle – who is the Head of Football at KIN Partners – and Jeremy Doku’s agent is his older brother, who works for the Elevate agency.

Reijnders joined City this summer and his path to the Etihad has been carefully aided by his father Martin, who was also a footballer and is now his agent.

“My dad played a big role in my football journey. He was a professional footballer himself, so he knows what it takes to reach the top,” he said.

“His advice and support were essential in shaping my mentality and work ethic. He’s always pushed me to stay focused and keep improving, which has been key to my progress.”
