Arsenal are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with contacts to convince the player going well, according to French outlet L'Equipe.
The Gunners will be aiming to build on a relatively disappointing season that saw them miss out on the Premier League title to Liverpool with plenty of games to go. Mikel Arteta's side also ended the campaign without lifting a trophy, despite a spirited run in the Champions League, being knocked out by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal's only confirmed addition of the summer transfer window so far has been Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, who is expected to come in as a backup for David Raya. Arsenal supporters will be hoping for plenty more reinforcements, primarily players who are going to improve their starting XI.

According to a report from French outlet L'Equipe, Arsenal are edging closer to securing the signing of Crystal Palace's Eze. Contacts with the player to convince him to make the move to the Emirates Stadium are advanced, and all that remains is whether the Gunners are willing to activate his release clause.
The England international, who has been described as a "elite", won't have to worry about the Eagles letting him depart, as long as Arsenal are willing to trigger the clause.

This comes shortly after another story from L'Equipe, which claimed that Arsenal were also advancing in talks to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres. The north London club are edging closer to reaching a verbal agreement with the Swedish international and are hoping to finalise a deal in the near future.
Arsenal are starting to get their ducks in order ahead of pre-season, and it will certainly be an impressive double coup if they can bring in both Gyokeres and Eze in the coming weeks.
