Sunderland are set to hijack another Leeds United target to inflict double damage on the Whites, according to reports - with a deal being agreed to bring Belgian star Noah Sadiki to Wearside in the coming days.
The report by Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter) states that Sunderland have agreed a deal to sign Sadiki from Union Saint-Gilloise in recent hours, with an agreement done with the club.
Additionally, the Belgian has also had a medical with the Black Cats, with a five-year contract set to run until June 2030 - and with a €20million (£17million) fee being agreed, inclusive of add-ons, it's seen Sunderland gazump their promotion rivals once again.
Leeds were thought to be interested in a deal for Sadiki last week, having negotiated personal terms for the star after being snubbed by target Habib Diarra - who also joined Sunderland after early interest in the ex-Strasbourg midfielder.
