Manchester United’s senior squad continues to undergo a major overhaul this summer, with Ruben Amorim leading the charge on and off the pitch.
The arrival of Matheus Cunha shows a clear intention to build a squad capable of competing across all competitions next season.
While transfer business dominates headlines, the club is also focused on refining its coaching setup to support Amorim’s tactical vision at all levels.

That includes strategic staff changes not only in the first team but throughout the youth and development system.
Manchester United are now set to appoint David Horseman as assistant manager of their Under-21s, according to Football Insider.
The highly respected 41-year-old coach has agreed terms with the club following a breakthrough in talks, with the deal now close to being finalised.
David Horseman will work under Travis Binnion in the Under-21 setup, one of the most important departments at the club given the current emphasis on youth integration and homegrown development.
He brings with him a wealth of experience, having coached at clubs such as Bristol City, Watford, and Southampton, where he managed the B team and contributed to first-team operations from 2019 onwards.
In 2023, Horseman took on his first senior managerial role at Forest Green Rovers but was dismissed after five months.

He returned to coaching with Bristol Rovers, serving as first-team coach and later interim manager following Matt Taylor’s sacking in December, before remaining part of the setup under Inigo Calderon.
Horseman left Bristol Rovers in May after the club’s relegation to League Two and has now been handed the chance to become part of Manchester United’s prestigious Academy system.
The Under-21s have become a key stepping stone between youth and senior football, producing the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, who has become a first-team regular.
Horseman’s addition is expected to further strengthen United’s development framework as the club continues to prepare the next wave of talent for life under Amorim.
