Thomas Muller has had his say on a summer move to Manchester United after previous reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
The 2014 World Cup winner will leave Bayern Munich after this summer's Club World Cup. Bayern face Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals on Saturday as they seek a semi-final spot against either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.
Whatever happens Stateside over the next few weeks, Muller will be available as a free agent this summer after a glittering career at the German champions. Muller has won over 25 major trophies at Bayern across two and a half decades.
Previous reports have seen the versatile forward linked with a move to Old Trafford - particularly when former manager Louis van Gaal was in charge at M16.
And Muller has been asked about those rumours, admitting that he has considered a move to United in the past.
"Yeah, I thought about it," he told CBS Sports. "There were some moments I thought it would be nice to experience it."
When pressed on if a United move looked appealing this summer, he replied: "Many times... or do you mean now? Now? No, no.
"I’m not the right guy for them and they are not the right club for me. They won’t have fun and I won’t have fun so that’s not a match."
Muller has previously revealed in an interview with Merkur that he considered making an exit during three different periods of his career. He claimed that the Reds made an "insane offer" for him on one such occasion.
"Bayern clearly rejected the whole thing - despite this insane offer from United," Muller said. "[But it was a] huge vote of confidence from Bayern."
