Max Wober looks set to end his stay at Leeds United as an agreement has been reached for a transfer away from Elland Road.

Daniel Farke hasn’t relied on the Austria international at the Whites, and it isn’t surprising to see him leave for pastures new.

Werder Bremen have now reached an agreement for Wober, with the West Yorkshire outfit already reinforcing their defence in recent weeks.

The 27-year-old could say farewell to his current teammates in the coming days after fresh developments in Germany.

Wober’s record at Leeds last season.

It has been claimed that the Austrian star is eager to join the German club soon on a four-year contract until 2029.

Farke certainly won’t miss the defender in LS11 next season after some astute additions to the West Yorkshire outfit’s backline this summer.

Wober exit inevitable at Leeds after transfer reinforcements

Leeds have signed Sebastiaan Bornauw from VfL Wolfsburg, making him their third incoming transfer.

Farke will also have Jaka Bijol at his disposal after the former Udinese centre-back’s £15million move to the Whites.

With Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and Ethan Ampadu thriving at the West Yorkshire outfit in the previous campaign, the German manager seems to have enough options in defence.

Leeds must now switch focus to reinforcing other areas of their squad, with new midfielders and attackers arguably needed.

Joe Rothwell enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at the Whites, but is on his way to Glasgow to join Rangers.

Joel Piroe will undoubtedly need more support in attack next season, as it isn’t fair to expect the Dutch striker to shoulder the burden of scoring goals in the Premier League.

Outgoings will be necessary to raise funds to strengthen the West Yorkshire outfit’s squad, and it will be interesting to see who else is on the chopping block in LS11.
