Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale is the latest player on the team to announce his engagement this offseason.
Ekuale and his longtime girlfriend, Apolonia, announced their engagement on Monday. In the post, it was captioned, ' A thousand times, YES.’
Ekuale is the latest Steelers player to announce their engagement or marriage. Recently, tight end Pat Freiermuth and quarterback Aaron Rodgers each announced their engagement and marriage, respectively.
Others, such as linebacker Payton Wilson, pass rusher Julius Welschof, and guard Mason McCormick, have either tied the knot or become engaged. It has been an eventful offseason for Steelers couples.
Ekuale signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in March to become a key piece of their depth on the defensive line. He came over from the New England Patriots.
Ekuale is a seven-year veteran and has played with the Patriots since 2021. He started 16 games for the team a year ago after they were ravaged by injuries.
Now 31, Ekuale had 52 tackles and just one sack. He had 16 pressures while adding 26 run stops. Both of those numbers are equal to or better than Larry Ogunjobi’s numbers.
