Arsenal have discussed a potential summer move for promising Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, according to L’Equipe.
The Gunners have reportedly held talks with Akliouche’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, who also represents Sporting Lisbon ace Viktor Gyokeres, their target at striker.
Mikel Arteta’s side are believed to be in search of a new winger this summer and have identified Akliouche as an option, along with Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
Monaco are in a strong negotiating position as Akliouche has three years remaining on his contract and are believed to be demanding around €70m (£60m) for the talented Frenchman.

According to L’Equipe, Atalanta ace Ademola Lookman is seen as a cheaper alternative to Akliouche, as he is under contract until June 2027 and is valued at €50m (£43m) by the Italian club.
There is a growing sense that a new wide forward could arrive as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who has only one year left on his contract and faces an uncertain future at the club.
Sporting director Andrea Berta is reportedly unwilling to match Trossard’s salary demands and is not looking to extend his Emirates stay at the moment, with a summer exit potentially on the cards.
Akliouche has been a regular in Monaco’s first-team squad for the past two seasons, amassing 96 senior appearances and registering 33 goal contributions.
The ‘insane’ 23-year-old, praised for having ‘a left foot made of gold’, faced Arsenal in the Champions League last season, playing the full 90 minutes in Monaco’s 3-0 defeat at the Emirates in December.
