Jude Bellingham praised Trent Alexander-Arnold's display against Juventus on Tuesday evening after the full-back ended the wait for his first assist for Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old, who made the switch from Liverpool to the Spanish giant last month, provided the cross for Gonzalo Garcia to nod in just nine minutes into the second half, clinching a 1-0 victory and ensuring Real's progression to the Club World Cup quarter-finals.
When Alexander-Arnold revealed back in May that he would be departing Liverpool at season's end, it was anticipated that he would join Real Madrid in July once his Anfield contract ran out. However, Alexander-Arnold's transfer to Real Madrid happened four weeks ahead of schedule when the Spanish club paid Liverpool around $13.6 million for his services.
Consequently, the defender has been able to play for Xabi Alonso's team throughout the Club World Cup finals, having started all four matches for his new club thus far.
Following Alexander-Arnold's milestone assist, which led to Garcia's third goal of the Club World Cup and secured the win over Juventus in Miami, Bellingham sent a congratulatory message to his new teammate.
The ex-Liverpool defender shared his joy on Instagram post-match with the caption: "See you in the quarters! Vamosss."
Alexander-Arnold's teammate and good friend Bellingham was swift to respond, commenting: "First of many brother."
Following its victory over Juventus on Tuesday, Real Madrid is set to square off against Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has swiftly moved on from Alexander-Arnold's exit, securing the signatures of Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, as well as left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
