Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard says Jamie Carragher 'ripped' into him when he was coming through the ranks at Anfield.
Gerrard and Carragher both graduated from Liverpool's youth academy before breaking into the first-team, where they became club legends.
Gerrard made his senior Liverpool debut in the 1998/99 campaign, while Carragher represented the Reds in the 1996/97 season.
Despite making their Liverpool debuts in different years, Gerrard and Carragher crossed paths in the youth set-up.
In Gerrard's book 'My Story', he recalls his first encounter with Carragher, revealing he was made to mop up his counterpart's 'sweat' and 'mud from his boots' while earning a humble first Liverpool wage.
Carragher was in the year above Gerrard in the Liverpool academy.
He was a part of a side that famously beat West Ham United in the FA Cup youth cup, with the Hammers boasting Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard in their ranks.

According to Gerrard, who was earning £47.50 at Liverpool, Carragher was the 'loudest' of them all and 'ripped' into him.
"Jamie Carragher was the loudest and sharpest of them all. I remember the first time Carragher really spoke to me. It was while I was mopping his floor at Melwood. He was on a first-year pro contract, and he was a proper big-head," he wrote.
"He knew I was getting my £47.50 a week and he enjoyed the fact that I was still an apprentice, and he was a pro. I was having to mop up all his sweat and the mud from his boots on the dressing room floor."
Gerrard also revealed that Carragher would take the 'p*ss' out of his hairstyle, adding: "I got plenty of verbal of 'Carra'."

Gerrard went onto bemoan Carragher's departure after the 2012/13 season and missed having his fellow Scouser by his side.
Carragher called time on his career in the summer of 2013 while Gerrard remained at the club for two more years before joining LA Galaxy.
The iconic midfielder played 710 games for Liverpool. The legendary defender, on the other hand, made 737 appearances. They were both involved in Liverpool's iconic come-from-behind victory over AC Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2005.
