West Ham have rejected Tottenham’s opening bid for Mohammed Kudus, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs tabled an offer of £50million, plus an additional £5m in potential add-ons, for the 24-year-old.
However, West Ham have turned down the approach for Kudus as it did not meet their valuation of the player.
The Ghana international has an £80million release clause in his contract, but it is believed that the Hammers are willing to accept offers below that figure.

Tottenham’s first bid rejected for in-demand Kudus
Kudus has been the subject of heavy interest from a number of Premier League teams this summer, and Football Insider exclusively revealed last month (10 June) that West Ham are reluctantly prepared to accept offers for the winger.
Both Newcastle and Chelsea have been linked with the Hammers star, meaning that Tottenham will likely face competition to wrap up the deal.

Last season, Kudus started 31 Premier League games for the East London side, scoring five goals and picking up three assists over the course of the campaign.
The attacker made the move to the London Stadium from Ajax two years ago and has caught the eye in England with his technical ability and physical prowess.

Besiktas enter race for Walker-Peters
Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Besiktas have entered the race for Everton and West Ham target Kyle Walker-Peters.
Walker-Peters, 28, has confirmed he will quit Southampton this summer and the right-back is available on a free transfer.
The Turkish giants have turned their attention to the England international after missing out on Bright Osayi-Samuel, who looks set for a move to Birmingham City after the Championship side opened new talks.
In a blow to his Premier League suitors, Besiktas are now ready to table a lucrative offer to Walker-Peters – who has an admirer in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
