Cristhian Mosquera is likely to turn down a new contract at Valencia in favour of a summer transfer to Arsenal, but the clubs remain apart on their valuations of the player.

In the wake of Arsenal’s bid for Cristhian Mosquera, Valencia presented the player with a new contract offer. Spanish journalist Nacho Sanchis reports that the offer would put Mosquera above the average at the La Liga club, though still far off the best-paid players.
Sanchis adds that Mosquera is analysing the offer, but it’s viewed as ‘difficult’ to extend his contract now that Arsenal have tempted him away.
Deportes COPE Valencia report that Valencia’s offer is still below the centre-back’s expectations, again suggesting it’s unlikely he’ll accept it.

Fabrizio Romano reports on his YouTube channel that Mosquera’s desire is very clear – he only wants to join Arsenal. It’s on the two clubs to reach an agreement, with Valencia rejecting the Gunners’ first €14m (£12m) bid, but talks are continuing.
Matteo Moretto confirms that given the timing of Valencia’s offer and the allure of Arsenal’s sporting project, it’s practically impossible for Mosquera to accept an extension.

Hand of Arsenal, who broke the news of Arsenal’s interest in Mosquera, reports that the Gunners are aiming for a deal in the region of €15m (£12.9m) plus add-ons, whilst Valencia want around €20m (£17.2m).
Talks are ongoing and a second bid is expected, with the player already having agreed personal terms with his potential new club.
With Mosquera making his desires so obvious, you’d hope the two clubs will be able to reach a compromise that suits all parties.
