There is a possibility that Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison will return to Everton this summer after spending the last two seasons on loan with them while they were at Goodison Park, according to The Telegraph.
The 28-year-old will not be part of those returning to training this Friday at Finch Farm as Toffees manager David Moyes begins preparation for 2025-26, but he could be rejoining Everton in the coming weeks.
Harrison ended last season with just one goal and one assist in 38 games across all competitions having notched three goals and three assists in 29 league games in 2023-24.
However, it appears Moyes remains an admirer having praised him back in March for being a ‘threat with his speed and his crossing’.
Everton could do with an upgrade on the right wing, but the fact that he started 12 of the last 14 games under Moyes last term means something, which could see the Scottish look to give him another chance as he is a fan of his high work rate.
While Harrison did not produce the goods in front of goal last season, his impressive output in terms of progressive carries speaks volumes.
He averaged 3.26 progressive carries per 90 minutes in 2024-25 – up from 2.64 in 2023-24 – with the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer producing a similar number.
Everton need experienced players as they prepare for life at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Harrison brings plenty of it to the table having made 170 Premier League appearances over the past five seasons.
Leeds could prefer to sell him permanently after a couple of loan spells, but he is likely to cost below £7 million having been signed for £11m in 2021, and the Blues could be open to taking a punt on him as he could still turn out to become a solid player in front of goal under Moyes.
