Manchester United are have put a £43m offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Fabian Ruiz on the table, according to Fichajes.net.
The Reds are looking to improve upon a horrific 2024/25 season where they finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final, and manager Ruben Amorim has identified a new midfielder as something he wants during the transfer window.
Now a European champion with Spain and PSG has emerged as one of the top targets for the club, with the club preparing a first formal offer.
Man Utd Prepare Ruiz Offer
PSG don't want to sell
Fabian Ruiz
29-year-old Ruiz, who has been described as 'one of the best midfielders in the world', was a key member of Luis Enrique's side that won the Champions League in 2024/25, while also being a key member of the Spain squad that won Euro 2024.
But Man Utd are keen to take him to the Premier League, and according to reports they have now tabled a £43m offer to try and convince the Ligue 1 champions to sell.
PSG currently are not interested in losing a key player, but it's possible that Ruiz could look for a new challenge after winning everything he can in France, hence Man Utd's offer. It's currently unclear what PSG would demand to allow a deal to happen, or if Ruiz would indeed be interested.

United are also looking at Serie A star Ederson as a potential target for their midfield, but they are currently prioritising strengthening their attack.
Brazil star Matheus Cunha has already joined from Wolves, while Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo is closing in on a move to Old Trafford with a medical expected to take place this week once an agreement is finalised with the Bees.
Amorim is keen to shape the squad in his own image, and a new midfielder could be the perfect thing for this side to help Bruno Fernandes and co. get back to where they believe they belong.
