Manchester United’s summer rebuild continues to take shape as the club intensify efforts to strengthen its midfield under Ruben Amorim.
With Christian Eriksen gone and Casemiro no longer the player he once was, United are eager to inject fresh quality and depth into the middle of the park.
Despite having Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Bruno Fernandes in rotation, Amorim is still searching for the right blend of technical security and physical control.

United’s transfer shortlist has included players like Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich, formerly of Fulham.
As well as the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, who has been a mainstay at Leicester City and Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund.
But now, a more ambitious target is emerging from the Champions League winners.
News circulated on Tuesday afternoon of Red Devils’ surprise interest in Fabian Ruiz.
It was reported that United are going ‘all out’ to sign the Spaniard, who played a instrumental part in PSG’s recent success.
According to CaughtOffside’s report however, Al-Nassr are now in the race with United, pushing to sign Ruiz.
Al-Nassr are readying a formal offer, having identified Ruiz as a key part of their midfield rebuild.
While United are yet to make anything of a concrete offer, as of yet.

Ruiz, who made 58 appearances in a treble-winning season for PSG, is seen as someone who can bring control, composure and creativity to United’s midfield.
However, Luis Enrique views Ruiz as integral to his plans and PSG have opened talks over a contract extension beyond his current contract.
A deal which runs until 2027.
This hasn’t deterred interest, however.
Al-Nassr’s financial clout and United’s Premier League appeal to pose as a fresh challenge for Ruiz will test PSG’s resolve in what looks set to be an interesting battle.
Meanwhile, Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu remains another midfield option United are exploring if a deal for Ruiz proves too difficult to pull off.
