Warriors Have Reportedly ‘Been In Touch’ With All-NBA PG

The last few days have been wild for the NBA and especially the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks acquired big man Myles Turner in a shocking and surprising move, but they also lost Damian Lillard, the All-Star point guard who was supposed to be with the team for years.

Lillard was waived because of the Turner signing, and he’s now looking for a new home.

According to Marc Spears, via Legion Hoops, the Golden State Warriors have “been in touch” with Lillard.

Is he moving back to the West Coast?

No one blames the Warriors for wanting Lillard because he is still one of the best guards in the league at 34 years old.

He averaged 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game during the 2024-25 season.

Sadly, injuries were a problem for Lillard, and he is currently still recovering from a serious Achilles issue.

Will he be the same when he makes his way back on the court?

That is a big question, but one the Warriors are seemingly comfortable with.

With or without an injury, Lillard is going to receive a lot of attention from multiple teams.

The Miami Heat, for example, might try to get him again, just a couple of seasons after they attempted to steal him away from the Portland Trail Blazers.

At the time, Lillard wanted to play for a championship-contending team and liked the idea of working with Jimmy Butler.

Ironically, he may get the chance to play with Butler if the Warriors make a push for him.

Like many fans, Lillard may still be feeling shocked right now, but he will end up on his feet.

It’s not obvious which team he will play for, but Lillard’s story isn’t over yet.
