Brian Windhorst Reveals What Pacers Should Feel After Losing Key Player

The Indiana Pacers shocked the world on Tuesday when they let Myles Turner walk and sign a new deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Just days ago, it seemed like the Pacers would do anything to get Turner back next season, but that ended up not being the case.

Speaking on ESPN, Brian Windhorst talked about how upset the Pacers and their fans should be about the loss of Turner.

“If I’m an Indiana Pacer right now, I’m absolutely disgusted, I am sick to my stomach. If I’m Tyrese Haliburton, I am breaking things right now. If I’m Rick Carlisle, I’m furious. To go to a team they hate—they hate the Bucks,” Windhorst said, via NBACentral.

It was bad enough to lose Turner, but it was even worse because he went to the Bucks.

They were already some of the toughest competition in the Eastern Conference, but Turner makes them even better.

What makes this move even more painful for Pacers fans is that the front office wasn’t willing to hold the team together for a single year.

They will be without Tyrese Haliburton in 2025-26, and fans were hoping Indiana would remain mostly the same despite that.

But now Turner is gone, and that means one of the cornerstones of the franchise has left.

In a way, the team has now lost its two biggest players just days after coming close to winning a championship.

Did this just seal Indiana’s fate, and will they not return to the Finals for a long time?

Fans are nervous and upset about the loss of Turner, and they are very afraid about what comes next.

What can the Pacers do to make them happy and hopeful again?
