Despite recently signing a contract extension with Partizan Belgrade through 2027, the 25-year-old German forward remains eligible for an NBA move due to an exit clause included in the deal.
Bonga, who last played in the league in 2022, remains on the radar of multiple NBA teams, per sources.
The Serbian club has built a strong track record of players earning NBA opportunities after successful stints in Belgrade. If Bonga joins the NBA, he would be the fourth Partizan player in three consecutive summers to make the move, following Dante Exum, PJ Dozier, and Tristan Vukcevic.
Originally drafted 39th overall in 2018, Bonga logged 143 NBA appearances (57 starts) over four seasons with the Lakers, Wizards, and Raptors, averaging 3.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 13 minutes per game.
Since returning to Europe, Bonga has emerged as a versatile 3-and-D forward with playmaking skills.
In the 2024–25 EuroLeague season with Partizan, he averaged 7.7 points on 41.2% shooting from three, along with 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 25 minutes per game.
He had several standout performances, including 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 28 PIR in a win over Paris Basketball, and double-doubles against Real Madrid (14 pts, 11 rebs) and AS Monaco (11 pts, 10 rebs).
Bonga finished the EuroLeague regular season on a strong note, averaging 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 14.7 PIR over the final nine games.
