The league now credits Mitch Johnson with the 77 games he coached during Popovich’s tenure, removing those from Pop’s personal record.

As a result, Popovich’s new career coaching record stands at 1,390 wins and 824 losses — still the most wins by any coach in NBA history.

The coach with the second most wins is Don Nelson, who finished his career with 1,335 victories — still 55 wins behind Popovich’s updated total.

Mitch Johnson posted a 32-45 record during the 77 games he led, which are no longer counted under Popovich’s name.
