Jack Grealish continues to find himself in limbo at Manchester City.
The England international was left out of the FIFA Club World Cup entirely by Pep Guardiola in order not to jeopardise a potential exit from the Etihad Stadium this summer with an injury.
Manchester City hope to sell Grealish soon, ideally before pre-season begins, with Newcastle, Napoli and AC Milan among the sides linked.
Guardiola has already said “I wish him the best” when asked about the man from Birmingham’s future, a very strong sign that his time at Manchester City is over.
Now – according to Give Me Sport – there is a new concern over Jack Grealish.
Manchester City aware Jack Grealish situation could be a “struggle” for Hugo Viana
Give Me Sport now claim that sources close to Manchester City believe it will be a “struggle” to sell the 29-year-old on their terms this summer, with no clubs coming close to the asking price.

Manchester City are believed to want around £40m for Grealish – which, even if a bid of that amount arrives, would still represent a £60m loss on the £100m invested to lure him from Aston Villa back in August 2021.
The Manchester City No.10 also earns £300,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium, so he himself would need to take a financial hit in order to seal a move away, with clubs currently unwilling to match his salary.
Everton or Aston Villa can offer Jack Grealish an escape route, but Manchester City must cooperate
TalkSPORT claim that Everton and Aston Villa also hold an interest in Grealish, but only a loan move appeals to the Toffees and the Villans.
Both Premier League sides are also not keen on going anywhere near his £300,000-a-week wages, so Manchester City would need to cover a large portion of this salary for a temporary exit to materialise.
It aligns closely with what Give Me Sport are reporting – clearly, offloading Grealish this summer is not going to happen on Manchester City’s terms, unless a financial juggernaut like a Saudi Pro League side get involved, and can convince the attacking midfielder to uproot his life in England.
