Everton have endured a number of hurdles already in this summer’s transfer window.
David Moyes has been left waiting on new faces to land on Merseyside ahead of pre-season starting in a matter of days.
It has become clear very quickly just how competitive of a summer market this is going to be for the Blues.
Everton have lost out on Liam Delap to Chelsea, and there has been more setbacks since.
Moyes is keen to sign a new full-back for Everton after seeing his already slim options dwindle over recent days following Ashley Young’s exit.
There has just been another transfer blow for Everton, and it seems a former manager was at the very heart of the upset.

‘But then never signed. Tete decides to stay at Fulham after a crucial call from Marco Silva.’
Tete has previously slammed Ronald Koeman in a rant, which may make some fans pleased to have missed out on the defender.
There are other options available for Everton to explore now, but it is one of the positions where they find themselves most in need of adding to.
What Kenny Tete said after snubbing Everton
Tete would have marked a shrewd piece of business from Angus Kinnear after the Toffees have already lost a number of players to free agency.
Everton have been offered goalkeeper Angus Gunn after he departed Norwich City as a free agent himself.
Speaking after inking his new deal, Tete shared the reasons why he decided to remain in London.
“I’m really happy to have signed, for myself and for my family, and I hope I can give more for the fans in these three years,” he told the Fulham media channels.
“After my first year I knew this was a family club, a really special club where I can develop. I want to be part of this group, and hopefully we can push for more.”
