Everton are eyeing a move to sign World Cup winner Nicolas Tagliafico on a free transfer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Toffees are in the midst of a major squad rebuild this summer under The Friedkin Group as they prepare to move into the new Hill Dickinson Stadium, with David Moyes looking to strengthen in a number of key areas.
After allowing veteran defender Ashley Young to leave at the end of his contract, while there are also question marks over the future of Michael Keane and Nathan Patterson, full-back has become a position the club are looking at.

The Argentina international, who won the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, is now a free agent after his contract with French side Lyon expired, and he is attracting the interest of several clubs.
The left-back, who can play as a wing-back or in a traditional back four, is someone that Everton have shown an interest in as they plot a squad rebuild with several players expected to be moved on during the summer window.
West Ham United and Spanish side Sevilla are also keen on the 31-year-old, meaning the Toffees may have to move quickly if they want to seal a deal to bring him to Merseyside.

The club were dealt a major boost when they were able to convince star defender Jarrad Branthwaite to pen a new five-year contract with the club to fend off interested parties, while club captain Seamus Coleman has also signed a one-year extension.
Everton are hopeful that midfielder Idrissa Gueye will follow suit shortly, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin has left at the end of his contract while Jack Harrison, Armando Broja and Jesper Lindstrom have all returned to their parent clubs following their respective loan spells.
Moyes is close to being able to confirm the arrival of a new striker in Thierno Barry, with the club close to an agreement with Villarreal for his signature after the player agreed personal terms.
