The wait is almost over for Washington Commanders fans. Training camp is back, and it’s bringing the heat to Ashburn.
With the 2025 season shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in recent memory, the Commanders are opening their doors once again at the OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park.
Supported by cornerstone partners Bank of America, Clark Construction, and Pepsi, the team will host six open practices between July 27 and August 4, including three days available to all fans and three exclusive sessions for select season ticket members.
This year’s camp offers more than just drills and playbooks; it’s a full-fledged fan experience designed to celebrate the Commanders’ changing era under head coach Dan Quinn, while giving fans a first-hand look at what’s shaping up to be a loaded, fast, and physical 2025 roster.
How to Attend: Dates, Tickets, and Special Events
Training Camp will officially kick off on Saturday, July 27, when the team participates in the NFL’s Back Together Weekend, a league-wide celebration of football’s return. Washington’s open practice schedule for fans includes:
July 27 (Back Together Weekend)
July 29
August 2 (Kids Day)
In addition, season ticket members in select tiers will have exclusive access to:

Each registrant can claim up to six tickets and one parking pass.
The team is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s camp unforgettable. Among the fan-favorite themed events are:
Back Together Weekend (July 27): Featuring appearances from Washington Legends, a Commanders Kids Zone, Major Tuddy, giveaways, and more.
Kids Day (August 2): A special day dedicated to young fans, with face painting, Play60 activities, and interactive games for the whole family.
Military Appreciation Day (August 10): Though this event takes place after camp ends in Ashburn, the Commanders will honor service members and veterans in a dedicated event hosted by Washington Salute and presented by USAA.
Throughout the camp window, the Commanders will also welcome local youth football programs and community groups, reinforcing their strong connection to the DMV area.
What’s at Stake: Position Battles, Breakouts, and Big Expectations
While the entertainment is top-notch, the on-field action may be even more compelling. Training camp 2025 marks the second full offseason for Quinn, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr, as they continue to shape a team loaded with both proven talent and exciting youth.
All eyes will be on second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels, who’s expected to take an MVP-caliber leap under Kingsbury’s fast-paced system. He’ll have plenty of help from Pro Bowl WR Terry McLaurin and newly acquired Deebo Samuel, and a reshuffled offensive line featuring Pro Bowler Laremy Tunsil.
Defensively, the Commanders enter camp with a fierce, deep front anchored by Daron Payne, Javon Kinlaw, and second-year player Jer’Zhan Newton. Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu man the linebacker room. Add in veterans like Marshon Lattimore and Mikey Sainristil in the secondary and edge rushers like Dorrance Armstrong, and this unit is built to be disruptive from Day 1.
Key position battles will unfold across the field, from running back to linebacker to right tackle, giving fans plenty to watch.
Washington will also participate in a joint practice with the New England Patriots on August 6 in Foxborough, offering a different look and valuable reps leading into preseason.
From new stars to seasoned leaders, Training Camp 2025 is where it all begins.
