Exum had options from two other contenders but chose to come back to Dallas, where he will share ball-handling duties with D’Angelo Russell at the start of the season.
Earlier in his career, he had a two-year stint in the EuroLeague playing for FC Barcelona during the 2021-22 season and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade in 2022-23.
Last season, Exum appeared in 20 games and put up solid numbers, averaging 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.
He shot an efficient 47.8% from the field and 43.4% from beyond the arc, showcasing his ability as a reliable shooter.
