It's being predicted that the Buffalo Bills will lose one important member of their staff if they have a successful season.
The Buffalo Bills have been fortunate to maintain most of their coaching staff from the last season to the upcoming 2025-26 run, but that luck may run out. Anyone who has been an important part of a team like the Bills will likely garner interest from other teams, and that’s how staffs get broken up.
It’s all part of the process, there’s really nothing that can be done. So, it’s not farfetched to think that at least one of the key members of the Buffalo Bills’ staff could be lapped up by another team after this season.
The Bills made it to the AFC Championship game during the 2024-25 season, which already drew attention in the NFL and made some of the team’s coaches look appealing to other teams. If the Bills do that again and even get further, then expect to say farewell to at least one high-profile staffer. Now, it’s being predicted that the Bills will lose one important member of their staff after the upcoming season.
One Bills Coach is a Hot Commodity
The new NFL season hasn’t even started yet, but it’s already being predicted that one of the most important coaches to the Buffalo Bills may get a gig elsewhere next season. At least we have him for now, though.
In a piece published on Tuesday, July 1, for Bleacher Report, Moe Moton names eight NFL coordinators who could get head coaching gigs after this season. Nobody should be surprised to see a Bills coach on this tally.
“These candidates will likely interview for multiple vacancies due to the exceptional performance of their side of the ball in recent years,” Moton states. “Some of them also have experience as head coaches.”

His No. 1 pick is Joe Brady, the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator. Brady was already a sought-after head coaching candidate after last season wrapped up, but he decided to remain with the Bills for a third term.
Brady stepped into the role of offensive coordinator following the team parting with Ken Dorsey halfway through the 2023 season. During his first full season serving as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator, he headed up a core that clocked the second-most points in the league.
Joe Brady Helped Josh Allen Get MVP
“More importantly for Brady’s resume, he elevated Josh Allen, helping the star quarterback earn his first MVP award,” Moton states. “Allen didn’t post career passing or rushing numbers, but he led the league with a career-high 77.3 QBR, putting together far more efficient performances than in recent seasons.”
During the 2024 season, Allen had 3,731 yards and 28 touchdown passes, as well as notched 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground, so Brady certainly helped Allen.
Moton adds, “If the Bills finally beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs or Allen continues to play at his best within the structure of Buffalo’s offense, Brady will be the top head coaching candidate next offseason.”
So, the Bills must brace for the idea of losing Brady after this year, if they have a successful season, which is obviously the goal. While it would be a blow to the team, it’s nothing the Bills won’t be able to handle.
