Here’s where Giants rank in offseason NFL power rankings

It’s the dead period of the NFL offseason, so media outlets everywhere are churning out power rankings and way-too-early 2026 drafts to pass the time.

Yahoo! Sports was the latest national outlet to rank all 32 teams entering the season — and they weren’t exactly kind to the Giants. Yahoo ranked the Giants 27th in the NFL (which, in fairness, is better than expected given they face the toughest schedule in the league next season).

Here’s the Yahoo sports staffs’ rationale:

The tone for this season all about whether head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen can survive again.

The Giants have a really good defensive line, a secondary that has gotten an influx of talent, a future star in receiver Malik Nabers and not much else. There’s still a long way to go before the Giants are contenders again. Daboll and Schoen need some results this season to stick around for those better days.

They’re dead on. Let’s face it: The Giants haven’t done much to earn respect from national pundits lately. They’ve lost double digit games in nine of the past 11 seasons and went a dismal 3-14 last season.

We’ll see if their hot seat regime and new signal callers Jaxson Dart and Russell Wilson can flip that narrative starting this season.
