We already knew the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were breaking out the Creamsicle throwbacks this season against the Atlanta Falcons, but now, the team is taking that look down a whole new road, too.
Earlier this month, the Bucs teased that they were bringing back the road white uniforms from their inaugural season of 1976, and SportsLogos.net confirmed it.
"According to multiple sources, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to unveil a white road version of their creamsicle throwback uniforms on July 15 as part of their 50th season celebration," SportsLogos.net wrote. "The jerseys, which were inadvertently leaked in February by the designer of the Buccaneers’ 50th season logo, feature fluorescent orange numbers outlined in red, matching what the team wore during its inaugural season in 1976. They’ll be paired with the same white helmet and pants that Tampa Bay wears with the home version of its creamsicle throwback uniforms, replicating what the Buccaneers wore in every regular season game that season, as the creamsicle jerseys were limited to the preseason.
"The jerseys will prominently display a throwback-inspired version of Tampa Bay’s 50th season patch on the left shoulder, with the No. 50 and background color matching the jersey, just like their home red, white road and creamsicle throwback designs."
The Bucs have already revealed that they'll wear the Creamsicles during the Thursday Night Football matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 11, but we'll now apparently get to see the old road unis this season, too.
Hopefully, the whites don't hold the same bad juju that the old home uniforms do.
