Sacramento Kings reportedly willing to trade this player for Jonathan Kuminga

Many of the best players are already picked over in the early days of NBA free agency. Though, one major player still on the board is Jonathan Kuminga, a restricted free agent on the Golden State Warriors.

The seventh overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft has averaged 15.8 points per game across the past two seasons, and some teams believe he has the potential to make an even bigger impact with a change of scenery. While the Warriors would prefer to retain all their top talent, they’re open to negotiating when it comes to Kuminga.

One of the ways the Warriors could still improve their team this offseason is by including Kuminga in a sign-and-trade to another team. Based on the latest Warriors rumors, a Kuminga trade could be coming next.

According to [NBA insider Jake Fischer of The Stein Line](https://marcstein.substack.com/p/the-hottest-and-freshest-nba-free?utm_campaign=email-post&r=3shtjf&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email), one player the Warriors would be interested in acquiring in a Kuminga sign-and-trade is Malik Monk from the Sacramento Kings.

> “Sources say that Sacramento, meanwhile, would be interested in including Malik Monk in any outgoing trade package, but nothing substantial has materialized with the Warriors.”

While the Warriors already have one of the best scorers of all-time, teams can never have enough scoring. Monk happens to be one of the best microwave scorers off the bench, capable of providing a bucket as soon as he takes the floor.

As skilled as Kuminga is becoming, Monk is an already polished product at this stage in his career, and he’d certainly help electrify the team’s bench unit.
