Transfer news LIVE: Gyokeres agrees Arsenal deal; Rodrygo boost; shock Chelsea bid; Man Utd, Liverpool latest

Transfer rumours: Viktor Gyokeres, Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze are all targets for Arsenal this summer

The summer window is ramping up with some major moves edging closer. Arsenal are said to have agreed a deal with Viktor Gyokeres and been handed a new boost over Rodrygo, as well as making a fresh offer for Cristhian Mosquera, who may have submitted a transfer request. The Gunners also want to sign Eberechi Eze and are poised to announce the arrivals of Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi to follow Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea are rumoured to have made a shock bid for Real Madrid star Gonzalo Garcia after announcing Joao Pedro as they also prepare to seal the signing of Jamie Gittens. Manchester United have turned to Ollie Watkins after admitting defeat over Gyokeres, while a deal for Bryan Mbeumo could finally be wrapped up this week as speculation continues over Marcus Rashford and Barcelona.

Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Marc Guehi and have turned attentions to Hugo Ekitike, while Tottenham are plotting a second bid for Mohammed Kudus after a first was rejected by West Ham as Kota Takai moves to Spurs. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

The prolific Swedish international has been one of Mikel Arteta’s top targets as he bids to finally make a statement striker signing this summer, along with Benjamin Sesko at RB Leipzig.

However, progress has slowed notably with Gyokeres - also wanted by Manchester United - embroiled in a bitter ongoing row with Sporting, where it’s claimed he could go on strike.

According to transfer specialist Nicolo Schira, the former Coventry frontman now has an agreement in principle on a five-year contract with Arsenal until 2030.

The focus from Chelsea at the moment is on incomings, but outgoings are expected between now and the closing of the summer transfer window.

Furthermore, it is understood that several clubs are keen on Veiga who can leave Chelsea on permanent deal after spending the second half of last season on loan at Juventus.

The winger has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich and Al Nassr but it is being reported that he wants to stay put.

"Mitoma played a great last season but it's only because we as a club worked together. Then you can shine as individuals. It's the most important that all the players try to understand that. Mitoma understood it the last season.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing him back [on Thursday for pre-season]. That's the plan. We look forward to continue working with him, to try to improve him because I still think his limit is not reached yet.

"That's our job, his job the job of the whole club to get the best potential out of the players and that's what we're looking for in the pre-season. I'm sure he will be an important part of us."

Galbraith starred for Orient in League One last season and was the subject of a bid from Charlton last month.

Pedro’s transfer, said to be in the region of £60m, from fellow Premier League side Brighton was completed on Wednesday and the Brazilian has been signed in time to feature in the Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras.

Pedro has been handed the no.20 shirt at Stamford Bridge. This squad number had only been vacant for a short space of time with Cole Palmer upgrading to no.10 before the Club World Cup.

The 38-year-old Frenchman was presented to the media on Wednesday after ending a disappointing spell in Major League Soccer with Los Angeles FC.

His contract with LAFC was set to expire at the end of this year, but the club and Giroud mutually agreed to part ways so he could leave on a free transfer and join Lille, which finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season.

The Switzerland international is also courting interest from Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, with the Serie A champions also making an offer which was not deemed enough.

With Napoli now working on other options, including PSV Eindhoven’s Noa Lang, it may open the door for Palace to swoop.

However, Ndoye is thought to be hesitant about a move to the Eagles as he is clinging on to the opportunity of joining Napoli.

That said, if Palace can convince Ndoye then he may be a direct replacement for Eberechi Eze who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Because Chelsea wrapped up a deal for Joao Pedro before Thursday’s deadline, the Brazilian will be in contention to make his debut against Palmeiras this weekend.

This is because the rule states teams in the competition can add at least two new players to their Club World Cup squad.

A statement reads: “During the period from 27 June to 3 July 2025, clubs may replace players whose contracts have naturally expired during the competition.”

David, currently without a club after his Lille contract expired on Monday, is set to complete a free transfer to the Serie A giants.
