Luis Diaz has had one foot out of the Anfield exit door since the 2025-26 summer transfer window first opened at the start of June.
The attacker is entering the final two years of his deal with Liverpool, and at the moment, there are no signs of the Reds wanting to offer him an extension.
The Colombia international was in fine form last term as he managed to contribute to 25 goals across all competitions.

At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess where Diaz will be plying his trade next season, but one thing is for sure, there are plenty of places for him to go.
Luis Diaz met up with Barcelona ace Dani Olmo and had a ‘private conversation’
Seeing as though Liverpool didn’t qualify for the Club World Cup, their team have been allowed to have an extended break over the summer, something that could be essential to their performances next term.
The Reds have had a few intense seasons in a row, but now they’re defending the Premier League title, ensuring that their players get the right amount of rest will be key to getting them into top form.
During his holiday, Diaz met up with Barcelona star Dani Olmo.
A picture of the duo was shared across social media, which had both of them standing on the edge of a boat.

As a result of this picture being shared, questions were asked, with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo getting straight to the point and inquiring about what the duo discussed.
“If we talk about the subject, I keep it. It was a private conversation. I didn’t know him. He’s a great person,” Olmo said.
“He is world class and the best have to be in Barça. He has shown it. He is world top as a striker and as a winger, there is no doubt about that.”

Liverpool should sell Luis Diaz this summer
It’s clear that Liverpool have spent a lot of money on new additions this summer.
The Reds are already closing in on the £200million mark with Florian Wirtz’s £116million arrival even breaking the club’s record.
Although Slot has been one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League, there are still a couple of positions within his ranks that could do with bolstering.
This means that players will have to be sold on so that they can recoup some of the money they’ve spent; otherwise, they’ll end up getting in trouble with the Premier League for breaching PSR rules.
Liverpool have already rejected approaches for Diaz from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but if he wants to go and Liverpool don’t want to extend his stay, there’s no reason why the attacker shouldn’t be allowed to explore his options.
That is, especially if Liverpool get a sizeable fee for him.
