Man Utd 'appreciate' Juventus ace offered as part of Jadon Sancho deal, key similarity to Matheus Cunha

Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz in a swap deal for Jadon Sancho.

It’s bound to be a busy summer at Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim is desperate to improve his team after a disastrous start to life at Old Trafford.

Last season is one United fans want to forget after losing the Europa League and finishing 15th in the Premier League. It meant the Red Devils are without Champions League football for a second consecutive year.

United have since signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves to help ease their ongoing issues in attack ahead of next season, and more signings are expected in the coming weeks.

Ineos are also hoping to sell players Amorim deems surplus to requirements, including the United players who were sent on loan last season. That includes Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United keen on Douglas Luiz

United have yet to sell a player this summer, but attempts have been made to speed up the process.

The problem is finding a club willing to pay the right price for our players, as well as take on their hefty salaries, which is proving to be the biggest obstacle so far.

Real Betis want Antony, and Rashford is dreaming of a switch to Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Sancho is attracting interest from Juventus and Galatasaray. One proposal could see United offered one of three Juventus players. They include Douglas Luiz, Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah.

An update from Italian reporter Giovanni Albanese claims Luiz is appreciated by United after receiving an approach from the club last January.

It is now believed Luiz is a key part in the Sancho deal as Juventus continue to work on a way to sign the United flop.

Luiz shares key similarity to Matheus Cunha

Luiz could become the second Brazilian to join United this summer if he moves to Old Trafford as part of the Sancho deal.

Like Cunha, Luiz shares Premier League experience with his compatriot, meaning he would be able to settle quickly if he joined.

This is a boost for Amorim and shows further proof that they want players who know how to play in the Premier League.

Luiz spent five years at Villa Park between 2019-2024 before joining Juventus.
