Manchester United can reportedly secure the signature of long-term target Denzel Dumfries for a minimal fee this summer. The defender has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in years gone by, and they could snap him up for a cut-price fee if they act quickly.
Ruben Amorim’s side are keen to splash the cash this summer, with attacking reinforcements among the priorities at Old Trafford. Following the signing of Matheus Cunha, the Red Devils are eager to sign a new No. 9 as well as Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Signings in other departments aren’t to be ruled out either though, with Amorim hoping to build a squad to slot into his 3-4-3 system and with enough depth to be able to make their mark in all competitions.

Although Amad Diallo was moulded into a right wing-back last season, the arrival of Dumfries would allow the Ivorian to make his presence felt in the final third – and may stop there being such a push for the club to sign Brentford’s Mbeumo.
Dumfries is also capable of playing as a centre-back when required, and his leadership cannot be understated given that he has battled it out for numerous accolades over the years – playing a key role in Inter’s progression to the Champions League final last season.
