Nottingham Forest set sights on 22-year-old Leicester City ace

Leicester City full-back Victor Kristiansen is emerging as a target for Nottingham Forest, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Leicester City are in the midst of an uncertain summer with PSR regulations threatening punishment. All the while, LCFC are now managerless after Ruud van Nistelrooy’s exit, and star men are bound to depart.

Whoever takes the reins at the King Power Stadium is in for a steep task, but the likelihood is that promotion will be the goal regardless.

The Foxes will know key assets are sure to exit though, and it seems one man who could head for the door is left-back Victor Kristiansen.

Writing on X, reporter Fabrizio Romano has said that Premier League side Nottingham Forest are the latest club to show interest in Leicester City man Kristiansen.

Forest are in the market for a new option at full-back and 22-year-old Kristiansen is among the options, though it would appear they are not the only ones keen on a potential deal for the LCFC man.

Kristiansen signed in January 2023 and spent their last Championship campaign on loan in Serie A with Bologna. Now, after another relegation, it seems a move away could await once more with Forest keen.

Kristiansen among Leicester City players to jump ship?

Having left Leicester City on loan to play top-flight football in Italy after their last relegation to the Championship, many fans may be expecting Kristiansen to move on once again this summer.

However, perhaps this time, the Dane will be leaving for good, rather than on another loan.

The 18-time Denmark international has played 45 times for LCFC across all competitions, chipping in with two assists while playing as a wing-back or left-back. Kristiansen played in 31 games last season, dropping out of the starting XI for five of the final six games of the campaign.

Who else could leave the club?

Financial issues will have meant Leicester City would have faced player departures regardless of how the 2024/25 campaign ended, but coupling those problems with relegation means exits are now even more likely.

Kristiansen is among those Leicester City perhaps will have expected to lose, while fellow Denmark international Mads Hermansen is drawing interest and could move back to the Premier League.

Bilal El Khannouss is the biggest asset at the King Power Stadium and will be backed to move back up the leagues. The likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Stephy Mavididi may not fancy the idea of another Championship stay either.
